Apple Season

The cool breeze entering our homes these past few mornings has us taking out sweaters from our closets and lighting our favorite candles, we just cannot contain our excitement! If there is one thing us New Englanders know how to do, is apple picking. Apple seasons runs until mid November so no need to worry if you are short on time. We recommend apple picking at, Honey Pot Hill Orchards, located in Stow, then after stop by Nan’s for a meal. So that you can spend the rest of your night creating apple picking memories to share.

Recipes:

Apple Pie

You can’t go wrong with a classic, especially since we always have spare apples to bake a pie with! We found a delicious recipe on Pinterest that incorporates a bunch of different apple varieties and all those fall spice flavors. It takes a bit to make, but it’s the fun of making it that makes up for it. Just imagine how fresh your kitchen will smell.

Apple Butter

Another recipe we enjoyed from Pinterest was an Apple Butter recipe. This is such a fall staple, due to how versatile it is! We enjoy pairing it with pancakes on a slow fall morning or mixing it into our oatmeal while heading out for the day.
