Welcome to

The Wine Shoppe

We aspire to create a place for wine lovers, both casual and passionate, housed in a cozy and inviting space where your next favorite bottle is right around the corner. Our team is devoted to selecting the best organic, biodynamic, local, and interesting wines for our selection. Each wine you will find here has been crafted with the utmost care—and more importantly—has an interesting story behind it. The winemakers we source from have been honing their craft for generations and utilize farming practices that seek to create harmony and focus on sustainability. We prefer wines from these types of vineyards because the grapes are allowed to shine without the addition of synthetic and harmful chemicals. Plus, in our opinion, they taste better!

We characterize our wines by the weight of the grape: essentially, what the mouthfeel is like. Lighter-weighted wines are more delicate, medium-weighted wines feel balanced, and heavy-weighted wines pack a punch.

Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll be sure to find something you like…and something to go with whatever you’re making (or picking up) for dinner tonight.

Choose your adventure:

Light Reds:
The wine that everyone wants to invite to the party: a light red. They’re nice to look at, with a slightly translucent pale ruby color. They smell great, often giving off hints of berry. And they get along with everything- lighter meats, vegetable-forward dishes, or just good conversation. Pinot Noir or Sangiovese, anyone? They have a lighter body as well as lower amounts of tannins, which makes them easy on the palette and appealing to a wide variety of folks.

Medium Reds
Not too light, not too bold, just right! That’s how we’d characterize medium reds. While they have the fruity flavors of a light red, there are hints of earthiness and spice that ground the bottle. The moderate level of tannins provides a grip on the palette and a more rounded flavor profile without being too overpowering. We love pairing a medium red with hearty, nourishing foods like mushroom risotto or roast chicken. While any wine can be drunk at any time of year, medium reds scream fall to us: cozy, earthy, and mellow.

Full & Lush Reds
Dark. Complex. Moody. Not your favorite leading man (or lady)...a full-bodied red wine. And we’ve got plenty of them. With a silky mouthfeel, deep ruby color, and lingering flavors, a full & lush red checks all of our boxes for the perfect wine to curl up on the couch with. Or to have a delicious, juicy steak alongside. Or to drink at the holiday table. With varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Shiraz- we have a robust bottle for any occasion.

Light & Crisp Whites
There’s nothing more refreshing on a sunny day than a cold glass of crisp white wine. Here at the Wine Shoppe, we pride ourselves on having a wide range of fresh, tangy, bright whites. These are crushable: light-bodied, refreshing, and easy to sip. We love to pair with lighter fare: think seafood, salads, and hors d'oeuvres. They’re versatile, invigorating, and downright delicious.

Full Whites
Everything we love about white wine is just intensified with a full-bodied variety. Luxurious, complex, opulent, and sophisticated are just some of the words we would use to describe this particular version of wine– with a creamy mouthfeel, rich fruity flavors, and the slightest hint of toasty oak…a full-bodied white takes a special occasion meal to that next level. Try it with lobster and thank us later!

Bubbles
Party in a bottle, anyone? Come one, come all to the “Bubbles” section of the Wine Shoppe. We’ve got sparkling wine to tickle anyone’s fancy and taste buds. With a fresh aroma, bright, and zesty flavors; bubbles go smashingly with anything “fancy”: caviar, truffle, oysters…you get the picture. But they ALSO pair amazingly with our unparalleled fried chicken: the high-fat content and the bubbles and acidity of a sparkling wine play well together.

Rosé
Pale pink, fruity, and elegant: rosé wine is one of our favorites. It gets its pink hue from the brief encounter red grape skins have with the juice during fermentation. Rosé is crisp and fruity, versatile yet delightfully simple. We love to pair it with charcuterie, fresh salads, and picnic fare- and even spicy food. Check out the Wine Shoppe for your next favorite bottle of this charming pink elixir.

Orange Wine
You may have noticed that orange wine was all the rage this year. While it has been trending recently, orange winemaking is an ancient practice that is where many natural winemakers gain their inspiration. Orange wine gets its delightful color from the longer maceration time of white grape skins with the juice- as well as a unique texture and mouthfeel. Complex, interesting, and vivacious: it’s like a roller coaster for your senses. We recommend pairing with anything that packs a PUNCH: spicy food, aged cheese, and complicated flavors are the way to go with this one.
